Ellesco Announces Open House Date For Deburring Masterclass

Deburring and surface finishing specialist Ellesco, has announced it will be hosting an Open House Event at its Christchurch headquarters on the 2nd March 2015. The UK's leading solution provider for deburring and surface finishing will be using the event as an opportunity to demonstrate the Timesavers range of Wide Belt abrasive, Rotary Brush & Rotary Disc finishing machines.

The Dorset company will be providing live demonstrations at its event as well as having a team of technical engineers on-hand to discuss specific finishing solutions for each visitor and their respective requirements. With four Timesaver machines on show that will include the 42WRB Series, 22WB and 22W Series plus the Timesavers 12 Series - there will be plenty to see. Alongside these innovations, Ellesco will be inviting visitors to view its stock of refurbished surface finishing and deburring machines.

The centrepiece of the event will be the Timesavers 42WRB machine. Ideal for the deburring and edge rounding of laser, flame, plasma and waterjet cut parts as well as the finishing of punched and machined parts, the 42WRB can conduct the pre-grinding of heavy burrs and the final surface finishing of components in one pass. The 42WRB has a vacuum conveyor that can process parts from 50 to 1350mm.

Taking edge finishing to a new level, the 42WRB makes short work of burrs with its rotary brush carousel head that incorporates eight rotating brushes. The WRB also utilises a wide belt abrasive head, which is the first contact point for parts passing through the component conveyor. This hard contact roller is primarily used for removing heavy burrs on plasma, laser and punched parts immediately after cutting. For customers aiming to achieve a specified level of surface finish or grain, the machine can be fitted with a secondary abrasive head that is the final stage in the finishing process.

The rotary brush system has its own rotating axis with four brushes working in a clockwise direction and another four operating counter clockwise. The abrasive stands flick across the entire surface and all edges of a part. This provides an even radius on all corners.

For manufacturers requiring a more compact solution, Ellesco will be showing the Timesavers 22WB Series at its Open House. This wide belt and brush machine for the deburring and finishing of sheet metal parts offers a vast selection of heads and widths that combine with standard features to deliver a solution for most sheet metal finishing tasks.

Alongside these impressive units will be the Timesavers 12 Series of wet and dry working machines that produce smooth edged deburring and finishing of flat metal components. The 12 Series can process parts with a width of 600mm and a component thickness of 125mm. This compact solution is available with a table feed rate from 3 to 9m/min and a sturdy weight up to 1100kg depending upon the specified model. Furthermore, the 12 Series is delivered with a centralised control panel, dust extraction funnel, belt security and full CE marking.
