ITC Has Balanced Success at Sign UK 2014

The major highlight for Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) customers at the recent Sign UK exhibition was the introduction of its new 180 Series of 'Balanced' cutting tools for high speed machining.

With the emphasis of plotter and router machine manufacturers like Konsburg, Zund and A/G CAD intent upon developing machines with ever higher spindle speeds, ITC has developed its polished single flute 180 Series for high speed machining applications. As ITC's Sales Engineer Sally Hunt explains: "More customers are buying machines with spindle speed capabilities far beyond 30,000rpm and to operate at higher speeds the cutting tools must be precision balanced to deliver impeccable surface finishes, minimise vibration, harmonic effects and reduce stress on the machine spindle. Our new 'balanced' 180 Series received a show debut at Sign UK and were well received by visitors. Our state-of-the-art UK manufacturing facility has developed this high precision cutting tool to demonstrate that our tools can operate at extremely high speed to provide polished surface finishes on materials like acrylic."

Alongside the new line of 'balanced' 180 Series tools, ITC once again led the way in innovation by launching a number of new products. At Sign UK, ITC continued to demonstrate why it is the benchmark in the sector with its new coating applied to the established 3061 Series for machining stainless steel and similar exotic materials. As well as the 'balanced' 180 Series and the 3061 line, ITC showed its ever popular 4071 Series of cutters for the machining and chamfering of foamex, plastic wood, MDF and additional abrasive materials.

For ITC, the show was more than a promotional tool for new products. The Tamworth manufacturer was also educating the marketplace on how it can eradicate issues such as de-laminating, excessive burrs, poor surface finishes and the ability to eliminate hand finishing in many instances with ITC cutting tools. This strategy worked well for the market leading cutting tool supplier with its technical expertise benefitting visitors to the stand.
