ITC Launches Milling All-Rounder

Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has now launched the new Hanita 4002, 4003 and 4004 series of end mills from Widia. Developed for general machine shops aiming to improve their machining performance on a wide range of materials, the new two, three and four flute end mill series deliver remarkable productivity levels and diversity.

Manufactured from a sub-micron grain carbide with a TiAlN coating, the three new end mill designations are ideally suited to anything from rough to finish machining a vast array of material types. Capable of machining a wide variety of steels, stainless steels, cast irons and non-ferrous materials, the new cutting tools can drastically reduce tooling inventory as a result of their proven reputation as an all-rounder for any machine shop.

The two flute 4002 Series is the tool of choice for softer materials such as aluminium whilst the three fluted 4003 range is an all-rounder for delivering high performance results on aluminium and additional materials. The four flute 4004 series provides exceptional performance on steel and hard materials. With an eccentric relief, the new Hanita cutters have an extremely strong cutting edge that has wear and chipping resistance levels far beyond that of alternate end mills.
The two, three and four fluted series are all available with cutting diameters including 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20mm with identical shank diameters to maximise rigidity and tool life. The performance levels of the Hanita 4002, 4003 and 4004 series are a combination of the substrate, coating and innovative geometries working in synergy to optimise surface finishes, swarf removal and tool life. With a flute length from 9.5 to 38mm and an overall length from 38 to 104mm, the Hanita general purpose end mills have been created to maximise tool life and productivity whilst delivering a cost effective solution to the end user.

The square end cutting tools can provide heavy stock removal rates by machining at high feeds and speeds when slotting and general milling. Capable of machining at cutting speeds from 60 to 750m/min, ITC advises customers to select a robust machine tool for heavy material removal rates. Incorporating 30 degree flutes that are polished, the 4002, 4003 and 4004 series guarantees excellent swarf evacuation from the cutting area to prevent swarf re-cutting and potential damage to the cutting edge.

Pulse PR has consistently provided a first class service to ITC. With their help we have maintained a high profile and have received excellent exposure through regular press releases and a well organised advertising campaign.
