Kerf Cuts a Winning Line at MACH 2012

As the market leading supplier of oxy-fuel cutting, high density plasma cutting and waterjet cutting equipment, Kerf Developments was optimistic that MACH was going to be a success. However, the company exceeded its expectations with the sale of a number of machines and consumable products from its stand at MACH 2012.

The Lancashire based manufacturer used MACH as a platform to promote its exciting new generation RUR plasma cutting machine combined with Kaliburn “ultrasharp” cutting technology, and this proved a real crowd pleaser at the UK's showpiece manufacturing exhibition.

Designed and manufactured for customers with a high production demand, the RUR incorporates a rigid frame design that is ultrasonically stress relieved and manufactured to highly accurate tolerances to provide remarkable performance for the end user. These performance parameters delivered a large number of high quality enquiries at MACH.

The RUR range is ideal for conventional and high density plasma and can be configured with combined plasma and oxy-fuel heads to suit the various demands of the marketplace. Additionally, customers can configure machine lengths and widths to allow for large plate sizes or to provide the capability to cut and load/unload plates simultaneously in order to minimise machine downtime. With recent applications requiring machine beds up to 90m x 15m, Kerf can provide a bespoke solution for anything from a small machine shop or fabricator to highly productive ship yards and heavy industry applications. It is this ability to provide bespoke solutions and meet the various demands of the marketplace that won the Kerf RUR plaudits and significant enquiry levels at MACH.

Complementing the RUR 2500P at MACH was the innovative new Kaliburn Series of plasma cutting and marking machines. The Kaliburn Spirit 275a at MACH was part of a series of new plasma cutting systems that offer power outputs to meet specific customer needs. The Spirit range has a host of new innovations that include the exciting new “ultrasharp” technology. This new feature controls the plasma arc motion to improve hole and edge quality, part accuracy and surface edge finish. With more end users demanding exceptional surface finishes and accuracy levels from their cutting processes, the Spirit 275a more than met the demands of MACH visitors.

Kerf Developments also used MACH 2012 as an opportunity to demonstrate its all encompassing service that includes bespoke or standard machine supply, training, servicing, configuration, consumables and complete support packages. This 'complete' customer service package is increasingly in demand among manufacturers that operate in demanding production environments and require complete confidence from their machine supplier. With a proven track record of supporting its customers, Kerf highlighted examples of its service and support packages at MACH, much to the delight of stand visitors.
