Premier Expands Its Sales Team in Ireland
29 May 2014
As one of Ireland's leading machine tools and ancillary equipment suppliers, Premier Machine Tools (PMT) has now expanded its team with four new appointments. The new staff are a necessity for the Kildare based company, which has witnessed phenomenal growth levels in recent years.
The appointment of Kieran Maguire as the new General Manager at PMT will deliver enhanced support and structure to the rapidly expanding sales, service and support teams. As an experienced office manager and trained accountant, Kieran will implement new structures to streamline the business with a remit of enhancing customer experience. Furthermore, Kieran's appointment will enable Managing Director, Mr Peter Dwyer, to focus more upon the sales and support function by visiting the customers. This allows him to ensure their requirements are being met and that they are being well looked after by the team.
Added to this new addition, PMT has also employed two new sales engineers with extensive industry experience. Dennis Ross has over 30 years of manufacturing experience, which has largely been applied in the cutting tool sector. Dennis will be responsible for servicing customers in the Western Counties and has complete familiarity with the Seco brand of tooling that PMT distributes throughout Ireland.
The third new addition to the PMT team is Liam Dunne. Liam has joined the rapidly growing company with a target of developing the sales and service function for customers in the Eastern Counties of Ireland. Like Dennis, Liam has in excess of 30 years manufacturing experience and will prove a valuable addition to the PMT team. Liam has a particular expertise in the workholding, toolholding and machine tool arenas. Both new sales engineers bring a vast level of industry experience and also knowledge of the Irish manufacturing sector that will undoubtedly prove invaluable for PMT as the company moves forward.
The fourth addition to the team is Alan O'Donnell, as a new service engineer. Working with service director, Mr Liam Cummins, the recent appointment of Alan will enable PMT to further enhance its service response times for customers. With over 20 years manufacturing experience that involves machine installations around Europe, Alan has already proven a great asset for PMT in the short time that he has been with the company.
The four new additions will clearly strengthen the position of PMT in Ireland, a company that has recently held an open house event to announce its appointment as the Irish agents for Spinner machine tools. Commenting upon the expansion of the team, Peter Dwyer comments: "We are excited about the potential growth, experience and market impact our new staff will bring to Premier Machine Tools. The manufacturing sector in Ireland is growing at a rapid rate and with our extensive range of machine tools from Spinner, Tornos and Willemin that is complemented by market leading metrology equipment from Zeiss and Baty as well as cutting tools from Seco and OSG, we can provide complete turnkey solutions for the end user. Furthermore, we already had an excellent reputation for service and support and with the investment in new staff our position can only improve."
