TaeguTec Expands T-FLEXTEC Modular Drill System

TaeguTec has significantly expanded its T-FLEXTEC modular type WINDRILL system with the introduction of new 2XD and 4XD head-changeable drill holders. This exciting expansion offers manufacturers enhanced flexibility for deep hole drilling operations in confined spaces.

The expansion builds on TaeguTec's head-exchangeable modular drilling platform, which enables users to interchange drill heads quickly whilst maintaining consistent tooling performance. With the addition of 2XD and 4XD configurations to complement the existing 3XD holders, manufacturers can now access a comprehensive range of drilling depths from 10.0mm to 20.9mm diameter, covering a wider spectrum of production applications.

The existing 3XD line offers the broadest diameter range from 6.0mm to 20.9mm, and has been refined with design improvements, including a reduced flange diameter and redesigned flute geometry to enable greater drilling depth capability.

The enhanced 3XD holder modifications reduce the flange diameter from 25mm to 19mm whilst extending the effective cutting length, delivering improved accessibility in restricted machining environments whilst retaining the rigidity and stability required for precision holemaking.

All holders within the T-FLEXTEC WINDRILL range utilise M12 thread connections with compatible T-FLEXTEC shanks, supporting seamless integration with existing tooling infrastructure. The system's modular design enables rapid changeovers, minimising non-productive time whilst maintaining precision across the complete diameter range.
