Unicut To Demonstrate Infinite Possibilities at MACH 2014
26 February 2014
Following on from its remarkable success at MACH 2012, Unicut Precision is relishing the opportunity to highlight its capabilities at MACH 2014. On Stand 5592, the Welwyn Garden City manufacturer will be showcasing why it is the benchmark for turned and mill/turn component production with the theme of 'Infinite Engineering Solutions'.
This years' theme has been inspired by a recent five year contract the company has won with a globally renowned OEM. To win this major contract, Unicut has developed a specific 'focus factory' and invested £1m in machine tools, a new plating plant and six additional staff. A common thread among OEM's is the rationalisation and streamlining of suppliers and purchasing to improve the supply chain whilst enhancing quality levels. It is the demonstration of how Unicut has supported this OEM philosophy as well as retained its exceptional service levels with smaller customers that has inspired the 'Infinite Engineering Solutions' theme for MACH.
The most recent investment at Unicut is part of a continued program of technology acquisitions that now sees the subcontract manufacturer as the home of some of the most technologically advanced and productive machine tools in the UK. With over 20 CNC sliding head turning centres, CNC mill/turn centres and now multi-spindle turning centres for high volume production, Unicut offers capabilities and services beyond the realms of most subcontract businesses. The investment levels at Unicut now enable it to offer a complete service for its customers. The 'complete service' is credit to the company's investment in targeted machining cells with high specification multi-axis machine tools, a fully equipped assembly department and a packaging department. This is complemented by an exemplary quality control department and highly skilled staff that enables Unicut to meet all the demands of the customer regardless of industry sector.
The Unicut stand at MACH 2014 will highlight the machining capabilities of the company with a number of display parts and assemblies on show. The company has invested heavily in its machine shop facility with the recent addition of the £1m dedicated production cell as well as component cleaning systems, bespoke swarf and coolant cleaning and re-cycling plant and also a dedicated dispatch department. This guarantees that any Unicut Precision customer will receive component and assembly quality far beyond that provided by any other subcontract service provider.
The ISO: 9001 business has at previous MACH exhibitions had themes such as 'one hit machining' and a 'perfect manufacturing environment'. However, at MACH 2014, the 'Infinite Engineering Solutions' slogan will demonstrate how the company has progressed from being an all encompassing service to a company that has become a proven partner for World Leading OEM's. Already regarded as the benchmark for subcontract machined parts, the ongoing and extensive investment levels at Unicut, has moved it to realms far beyond the capabilities and service levels of alternate subcontract manufacturers.
The industry leading subcontract machining company provides OEM's from all sectors and subcontractors alike, with an all encompassing service. The service on show at MACH will highlight the product design for manufacture, low to high volume production of simple to complex parts, dedicated manufacturing cells and a full assembly service and component packaging service. All this is underpinned by SPC quality systems and Kanban & JIT delivery schedules to guarantee the industry's leading manufacturer delivers on-time, every-time!
